Neilsens requires the services of an experienced Excavator/ Loader operator for its Hard Rock Quarry at Cryna (Beaudesert).

To be considered for this position you will have appropriate experience and be proficient in operating Excavators for Production, Loading and Stripping, as well as operating Sales Loaders, specifically for the correct loading of road trucks in accordance with the requirements of the National Heavy Vehicle Law.

Our Front End Loaders are CAT980 or equivalent and the Excavators are 40-50t capacity.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our Mobile Equipment, as well as performing the daily Operator’s checks required to ensure that the equipment is well maintained and safe to operate.

Neilsens ongoing success relies on this position being fulfilled by a competent, willing and responsible Operator, and as such, good wages and conditions, with overtime and uniforms are provided.

Neilsens is seeking to appoint Concrete Testers for our Nata Accredited Laboratory located at Carole Park.

The successful applicant will have impeccable customer focus and be highly motivated and enthusiastic, be risk aware and safety driven.  This is a full-time role Monday to Saturday with overtime according to Neilsens needs.

In your new role, you will:

  • Perform testing within the Laboratory
  • Carry out equipment calibrations
  • Perform field testing operations
  • Ensure Laboratory NATA requirements are maintained
  • Assist the technical team

This role is a great fit for you if you have:

  • Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques preferred, but not essential
  • Excellent Health and Safety behaviours
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills (written & verbal)
  • Physically fit
  • A current Queensland Manual driver’s license
  • Available to work weekends and regular overtime
  • Professional work ethic
  • Previous experience would be advantage
  • An ability to take ownership and manage your own area of responsibility without close supervision
  • Customer focused and excellent attention to detail

HC and MC Truck (Tipper) Drivers

Neilsens Transport are offering a permanent full-time position to the right candidates, with attractive remuneration and great company culture. Two positions available and are based at our Brendale and Bromelton Quarries.

This is a full-time position and requires you to be available Monday through to Saturday (half-day). 

Neilsens ongoing success relies on this position being fulfilled by a competent, willing, and responsible Operator, and as such, good wages, and conditions, with overtime and uniforms are provided.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Current unrestricted HC or MC Licence
  • Minimum 3-year licence history report
  • Induction card (blue/white card)
  • Good literacy and communication skills
  • Commitment to safe work practices
  • An understanding of Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) i.e., Fatigue Management 
  • Strong work ethic with a commitment towards always providing quality service
  • Minimum 2 years’ Truck and Dog and/or B-Double (Stag Trailer) Tipper experience
  • Road Ranger gear box experience essential
  • Must be willing to undergo a Heavy Vehicle Medical Assessment (Including Drug and Alcohol Testing)
  • Must be willing to undergo a Verification of Competency (VOC) Driver Assessment

Trainee Dump Truck Operator Beaudesert Quarry

TRAINEE DUMP TRUCK OPERATOR- BEAUDESERT AREA

Neilsens requires the services of an experienced Dump Truck Operator for our Hard Rock Quarry at our Bromelton Quarry (Beaudesert).

To be considered for this position you will have appropriate experience and be proficient in operating a Dump Truck for Production.  You will be required to operator a 40t – 45t articulated dump truck.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our Mobile Equipment, as well as performing the daily Operator’s checks required to ensure that the equipment is well maintained and safe to operate.

Concrete Batcher/Dispatcher

The Role:

Neilsens is seeking  an experienced and a  professional individual to join our Concrete Team as a  Concrete Batcher/Dispatcher which you will be responsible for the allocation/batching and yard work for the concrete plant  at one of our sites.

This full-time position will see you working a 5.5-day week, Monday – Friday with half a day Saturday.

The position works closely with the Customer Service Centre, Concrete Plant Operations, Logistics, and the Sales Team, and is a key position within the Concrete Team.

Key Tasks/Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all standard operating procedures (SOP)
  • Provide input into the raw material requirements daily
  • Allocation of concrete trucks and batching of concrete
  • Stock management
  • Co-ordinate repair and calibration of plant equipment
  • Supervise day to day activities of a concrete plant
  • Supervise maintenance contractors
  • Available to work Saturdays
  • Implement WHS and adhere to our SHEMS – Safety Health Environmental Management System.

Ideally, the successful candidate preferred but not essential:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role of Concrete Plant Operations
  • Be a highly motivated individual
  • Ability to work flexible hours and in various locations as required
  • Strong Customer Service skills
  • Sound knowledge of fatigue management, load restraint and vehicle loading weight requirements
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Intermediate Computer Skills
  • Hold a Forklift License
  • Hold a current Front-end Loader
  • Hold an unrestricted Class C License
